The highly anticipated Boss 302 Intake is almost here! :nice:
Available for pre-order and expected sometime in April

Steeda cold air intakes for 2011 GT can be used with this intake with minimal modifications.

The all new Boss Intake is made from lightweight composite materials.
This short runner intake is designed to optimize flow at high RPM's for high RPM horsepower, with minimal change in low end and mid range torque compared to stock.

Pre-order by going to our website or give us a call!
    wwww.steeda.com or 954-960-0774

    Hi Fred,

Yes we are in the process of developing a CAI specifically designed to fit the Boss intake.

    Thanks! :)

I read quite a bit about CAI in the month leading up to taking delivery of my 2011 GT/ California Special.....I had discussed adding same with the dealership....they were of the opinion that it would void my warranty.....I got my GT yesterday and upon opening the engine compartment....It has factory Cold Air Induction.......? Should I upgrade with a better filter?....... is this Motorcraft system inferior to the aftermarket CAI available? I don't recall any discussion of the factory system in my reading.....so I'm not sure what to think.......

I'm not sure exactly how much airflow will improve with an aftermarket CAI over the stock Ford CAI but it will at least have a cleanable filter. Don't even try cleaning the stock one because it has paper inside of it that will melt if it gets wet.

I can't say for sure how much of it was from the CAI but my AVG MPG went from 20.4 stock with 91 octane to 21.4 with a Steeda CAI & Bama 91 street tune.

    Hi Nomad,

There is no question that upgrading to a Steeda cold air intake on your 2011 Mustang GT will be an improvement over the stock system provided by Ford. We have done extensive testing to improve the overall horsepower, as well as fuel economy with our CAI systems. Here is a link to the proper CAI for your GT so you can read more about it and maybe this will help your decision to possibly upgrade.

Basically, yes, however we are developing a CAI specifically for the Boss intake so that there won't be any modification required to make the current Steeda CAI compatible with the Boss 302 intake. We expect to have it fully tested and released for production in about a month or so.

Agreed, thanks for chiming in. There's not much one can do with the stock filter for very long. Very glad to hear you have seen an improvement in your overall fuel economy.
