THE BUCKET
Found a new issue to add to the list. I started it yesterday so I could move it and heard a new noise coming from the engine bay. Noise was in between a tick and a thump (whatever that means) but seemed to be in tune with the engine rotation. Opened the hood checked for valve train noise, no valve noise. Sound seemed to be coming from front of engine only. I noticed that the belt tensioner was jumping around a bit, looked down and see a nice wobbly crank pulley/balancer.

Do you think it is safe to drive 2 miles at low RPM so I can park for winter?

Depends on what it is. You need to find out if the outer ring on the balancer seperated or if the bolts holding the pulley on backed out. If it's a loose pulley you are going to tear all kindsa stuff up. The balancer aint so good either but you could limp on that.
