the way i have done it in the past and kept minimal or no metal in the pan was hit it with a pointed punch and roll it out with another one

You have to be talking about this post Ricky. I too am curious about what he means by "roll it out" as we will be tapping the pan too. But I think we have to tap 2 holes since there are 2 compressors and proper oil drain back is VERY important. Not looking forward to that....
