Welp, it's that time of the year again. If you're around the Central Maryland area on Saturday, Novemenber 4th. The Mid-Atlantic region of SCOA is running our cruise event again. We've got a little different order this time. We're meeting up for a "Bench Race" Breakfast, then heading out for the cruise. Location: The Nautilus Diner in Crofton, MD (It's a new place) located at Md Route 3 and MD 424 (Davidsonville Rd). Be there before 8:30 (you'll need time to eat) and we plan to start the cruise around 9:30. It's about a 70 mile drive (2hr) along the Patuxent River ending at the Rod-N-Reel parking lot in Cheaspeake Beach. Post here or PM me if you have any questions. As a bonus, a framed copy of the cruise image (see below) will be awarded to the winner of the "Mystery" location contest.
Just a Bump... ...and looking for a count of those who might attend so I know how many copies to make of the route map.
Wish I could join you Chuck, I already have a slot reserved at a dyno day to see if we can find out why the Daytona isn't running what it should. Take pics and post em
NIce. Would love to make it but none of my cars would make the drive without grenading something. Looks lie it will be a good time had by all. Blip, love the toon with the cop car. Looks just like the Seal BEach car. Didn't someone just buy that car and ship it your way?
Wish you could have made it Ted, good luck with the "Coupe.". Mike--I'll be looking for them. Marcus, thanks, wish you could make it, the trip is only a few thousand miles. Once you get thru the wild fires (really sad news for Cali on that one ), blizzards in the Rockies, and flooding in the Mid-west, it should be just a simple drive to the East Coast. The Seal Beach cruiser was the reference for that toon. Hadn't heard that it was on the market, wonder where it went?
I knew I read about it somewhere. Go to the forums sections of SOEC and in the foxbody area there a 'Seal Beach" police car thread. I'm West of everthing apocalyptic that you just mentioned so I guess I'll stay out here and help Dennis keep his motor clean!
That's great, and we'll be ending up in your hometown for the finish. (Short drive home for you.) Marcus, thanks for the pics and info on the cruiser. (Added those to my ref files--have been working on a layout design that has SSP Mustangs and the Seal Beach car too.)
Probably not as parts of the route can flood out, but we still could meet up for breakfast. Extended forecast looks good so far. Mark, my son is going along just to take pictures, so I'll post some up as soon as I can. The rest will in a future issue of PoweRRR.
It's mainly Mustangs in general, but all kinds of "fun" rides are welcome. Looks like we will have a Twin-turbo Callaway Vette there, just talked to the owner today.
Nice cruise! Just wanted to say it was a perfect day to get together. Nice meeting everyone and loved the trip in and out of the winding roads. Hope to see you guys again. FYI- My sig pic is to big for this forum so I will have to wait until I get another pic to get posted. Better yet if you have a good one from today email it to me and I will see if that works. Thanks again. Walker
Turned out to be a great day for a drive, and we weren't the only ones who had that thought, (check out the second picture page). Only 6 cars & crews made it to the start, several unexpected "problems" kept the attendance down. The cars that did make it provided a great mix of "eye-candy" for those passing by. Thanks to all those who made the cruise. (The photos were taken by my 9 yr old son, Ross--he had a great time too.) Walker--glad you had a good time, sadly I don't have a good close-up photo of your car, just the group pictures.
I went through my pics and I put some of mine on my car domain site, here they are: (btw most of these were taken while driving ;P but they came out hot) Me that morning
Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing and going along on the cruise. Your first pic goes right along with my temperature reading of 23 degrees that morning. Burrrrr!
