Hi...gotta a question. I am having a local shop custom build an enclosure in the trunk of my 2001 Roush stage 3. They seem to think that they can tap into the rears of my mach 460 using the JL 500/1 because of the amps "smart" features and power a JL 10W6V2 sub. I was just curious if any of you know anything about this before they dig in. I trust them as they are a very reputable shop but still have my doubts as Ive heard nightmares about adding onto the Mach 460 system. Any info would be appreciated.

It should work just fine. The real trick is running the Mach stuff off aftermarket heads. That's when it gets tough. They'll just be getting a signal, which is quite simple.

    thanks

I thought it should work...especially with the Ohm detection features of the JL 500/1 amp...that is what its specifically designed for. Ill let you know when its installed. I didnt want to change out factory appearance inside the car otherwise i would have gone total aftermarket.
