I am about to purchase a pair of 8s to mount in the deck of my daily driver, a 97 Tbird. I listen to rock and metal so I am concerned with reproducing the bass guitar instead of the boom of rap. The last system I built was with 3 JL12w6s and Rockford Power amps but that was 10 years ago plus then I listened to rap. I know what JLw6s were like back then, but are the w7s worth the price now? $400 each seems a bit much.
