JMC hydraulic clutch kit

I've searched but haven't found an answer. I'm doing a C4 to T5 conversion and while installing my clutch pedal assembly I was getting ready to install the clutch spring onto the pedals (real PITA) and thought I wonder if I'm installing this thing only to remove it later? When I install the ordered JMC hydraulic clutch kit will I need to have the clutch pedal spring?

Also, if I do need it will it be easier to install without it in and then install it after drilling my firewall (or whatever else needs to be done)?

ive been told that you do not need to use the clutch pedal return spring with aftermarket setups like cables and hydraulic. i believe spring is to be used with zbar setups.

Anyone else have any experience with this? I looked at my friends F150 that has a hydraulic clutch and it had a spring on the pedal.

I've got the JMC hydraulic clutch kit on my '65 with T-5. No underdash clutch spring is necessary (there's a return spring down on the transmission that fully retracts the slave cylinder instead).

Isn't the pedal master cylinder rod adjustable. I read somewhere that is how you adjust pedal height and would imagine the spring would mess with using that adjustment as well.

Yep no spring necessary on a hydraulic clutch.
