junkyard fuel gauge

Alot of people have the same problem i have that is that fuel gauge stays at beyond full and does not move.I was told that u can replace a circuit board thats behind it and it might work.Went to the jy and got to of the in case one of them did not work.Found out that they are different for the different years.87-89 is one chip and 90-93 is another.I got 2 of them for the 90-93,if anyone is intrested in one make me an offer
