just got a new t3/t4 what wastegate should i use.

    me and my buddy are building a 84 carpi and we just got our new t3/t4 turbo. the t3 on the car was cracked and we picked a t3/t4 to replace it. where not sure what typ of wastegate to go with . we want to run around 20 psi should we go with a external wastegate. if we should can any of you guys/girls explain how to install one.

    where both new to the turbo game.

    Just use the T3 gate...unbolt, slot holes in mounting plate, bolt onto new turbo.

    the old t3 gate was broken any place to buy a new one? will it work up to 20psi ?

    They are all over ebay, any turbo shop will have them, etc. The boost level is controlled by an adjustable boost controller, the gate actuator just decides the minimum boost, not max.
