Just took off the winter tires, put on the bullitts and got my stang all cleaned up, and seeing as how I normally just scroll through and drool at all your cars, I thought I'd show you a few pics. I updated my signature as well so you guys can see what I got.

I bought this car off of autotrader last year and have done a few things like tint, lights, wheels and tires, etc. The guy I bought it from built it and it was featured in the "My muscle mustang" section in MMFF april 2004. Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on what I should do next, I'm kind of focusing on the cosmetics at the moment.

For some reason I've got this quasi-retro theme running through my head, so I'm thinking about a rear window louver, probably also getting a Mach 1 chin spoiler. If any of you have any pics or know anything (good or bad) about rear window louvers let me know, I just know they're pretty pricy.

Good 'ol Lincoln Nebraska, I'm crossing my fingers that the snow is over, but I'm not so sure that's going to be the case

    Looks good:nice:

With all that power, I'd do some Cobra brakes.

Power's worth nothing if you can't stop...

Yeah, right now my breaks kinda blow, would it be worth it at all to just do SS brake lines, new performance pads, and some fancy (yet fairly inexpensive) drilled or slotted rotors, or for the money would I just be better off doing the whole fromt 13" cobra kit with calipers and everything?

    looks great :nice:

I've never seen a Cobra R hood with the stock vents, let alone 4 of them. Did you do that yourself?

The guy that owned it before me and did most of the mods put those vents on the hood. When I first got it I wasn't completely sure I liked it, but it's grown on me. Plus, i've never seen another one like it so it's scores a few "originality points" with some people.

Here's a pic from a few months back with the stock headlights, no tint, and chrome 18" GT40 wheels, I loved the wheels but they were the wrong offset (for a 2005-2007 I think) so they rubbed a little more than I liked. With the new wheels I only had to flip one quad shock and they fit much better. (Plus, I was able to pretty much break even on selling the used wheels and tires and buying the new setup)

Cool, it is pretty original. Looks a lot better with the wheels you have now.

Go for the brakes! Too many have wrecked on the crappy stockers (including me). I just got the ss brake lines as well and night and day difference with the cobra brakes! (ps - anyone know where to get the proper "horse-shoe " clips for the cobras with ss brake lines?)

    p.s. cool intake.
p.s.s. Cool engine, yours is different than every other stang out there.

    Brakes, absolutely.

When people say night and day difference they aren't exaggerating, it really is.

Athankyou for the kind words. Anyone got any thoughts on the "retro" theme? In addition to the chin spoiler and rear louvers, I was thinking about spray painting my billet grills black and putting a tribar pony emblem on it.

Well, I wasn't going to mention it if you didn't, but that chin spoiler looks great (i'm sure even better with a new bumper)
What's the best/cheapest route for cobra brakes? I know a kit runs around $500, and also know you can piece togeter some reman. and aftermarket stuff for closer to $250, but I want everything to fit and work good.

Man, I love your car! DFG FTW! I'm not sold on the 4 hood scoops either, but I love the rest.
Was the side-exhaust on your car when you got it? I'm wondering what brand exhaust system is on it? Is it custom-fabricated? I want to get the side-exhaust for mine, but don't quite know how to go about it.

As for your question, I will go with what everyone else is saying, Cobra or Mach1 or Bullitt brakes (all the same, slightly different looks and price). The difference really is night and day. Plus they look 10000x better than the single-piston stock stuff.

I'm not exactly sure about the skirts, but I think the exhaust is a dynamax super turbo setup with custom tips and stuff. Frankly, I've always been a flowmaster guy and have contemplated finding someone to trade me setups (stock skirts + some cash for my skirts plus exhaust setup)
