louvers look stupid IMO. they just don't look right with our body style. now the mach 1 spoiler thats the shibby.

i got say your car is pretty impressive, a lot of power potential with that 351 in there. you have tiny supporting components at the moment.

i've never seen that intake before. know where you/he got it?

Looks great. Ive only seen louvers on one car of our style. I didnt think it looked too bad, cause he had a black rear spoiler, and the whole mach 1 theme going. If you like it, do it! Its your car. Youre def on the right track compared to the previous owner. Oh, and although I havent had a nice day to install them, I bought the mach 1 front brake kit (same as cobra without the fancy powdercoating) for $349 off buyfordracing.com. They come with SS front brake lines and loaded twin piston calipers. Im excited to install them and feel the difference.

Another vote for Cobra style brakes. I would have then if they would clear the TTII's without having to run a spacer. I ended up going with the 99+ twin pison v6-GT setup. Better than stock but not cobra good.

Yeah, it's funny because most cars I see louvers on I don't really like either, i'm just trying to give it a little retro flair. I just put on a set of 351 fender emblems off an older mustang, and with the chin and wheels I think the louvers may look good (although I know many won't like em).
As far as the intake goes, I'm pretty sure it's just a regular cobra that's been ported and machined with the 5.8 logo.

As far as supporting components, explain further. I'm a weekend wannabe modder and could use any and all advice. I suppose I'll probably spend $1000-1500 total this summer and want do get the best bang for buck. If you have any good suggestions, let 'em fly!

Yeah, i've seen your posts around for awhile and thinking the same thing. At the moment though, I almost feel my car has more potential for power than it's actually putting out right now. If I had to guess, I'd say i'm probably putting out around 325 to the rear wheels, but I think it's got the potential for 350-375 or so (naturally aspirated), I just need to know how to get it there.

Thats exactly what it is, I kept looking at it wondering why folks kept saying it's unique and they never saw one like that before. I thought it was maybe the color it was painted or something that was blowing peoples minds. Lucking for me I've seen R's up close and taken a picture of the motor

Uhh they both seem to have the same fuel pressure gauge as well. Do you know were that 351 came from? Those cobra R intakes go for $600+ on ebay. Keep you don't see those often.

Well, to the best of my knowledge from what the previous owner told me, I think it's a cobra intake off a 94-95 that's been machined to say 5.8, then painted for looks.
Here's a 94 cobra motor, intake looks almost identical to me anyway?

I've also taken a few ideas from this post and freshened up teh front of my car a bit...took off the top billet grill, painted the lower one black, put on a chin spoiler, then painted the pony black as well. Not the best pick in the sun, but I think it looks a little better
