I thought it was a great speech. It made a great case for why she was such an important woman in the US political history. Made a great case for the reasons why SHE ran for president. Made a great case for her family values and beliefs.. Oh yeah, I think she mentioned Obama a few times........ I love how SHE is getting the credit for "Uniting" the Democratic Party. You could take that speech she gave last night and cut out LESS than 45 seconds of it and you would be hard pressed to identify that SHE wasn't the nomination....... Oh well....guess no one expected the Clintons to go quietly into the night.
I await shenanigans come Thursday. Her speech looked like it was hard for her to give and quite honestly, it looked contrived. It looked to me like she was up there to show everyone what they were missing both for a Presidential candidate and for VP.

They have to do something to discredit those guys. If they don't our country could be run by a terrorist sympathizer who thinks diplomacy works better than force.
It wasn't to discredit Clinton in the least. She did what she had to do and it showed, at least to me. If you really read/listen to what she said (w/o getting all emotional and misty eyed about the situation like so many there did ) she talked about herself and her accomplishments much much more than she did about party unity, or Obama for that matter. Again, my comment wasn't made to discredit her, she was taking one for the team and by the team, if you will, which in this case is honorable. Some folks just can't be reckoned with at all. (It is up to the reader to decide who those folks are). Me personally, I think Clinton should have been speaking on Thursday evening, that way you guys would have a better shot at getting what you want.
Terrorist sympathizer? Not so sure. Grossly inexperienced, naive, and in way over his head? Definetly. By the way, why did Barry duck the townhall meetings that McCain Challenged him to when he previously announced "anytime, anywhere"? And why is he attempting to intimidate and silence, going as far as lobbying to get the justice department to go after critics of his?
Barry? Alas, I find that I'm tired of this whole political circus that surrounds the presidential election. I'm not sure about Obama, but I'm not sure about McCain either. I am sure that I will never get to see them as people and not just portrayed by the media in this light or that. I'm not sure where my gut is on this. Both candidates seem to have appealing characteristics. (I really like that McCain served in the military) But, the whole "we need to stop _____ before he ruins the country because he supports ____ and a ______ supporter is going to ruin the nation" thing has really burned me out.
Probably because it's become evident that the great orator, Chairman Obama, doesn't do very well when he not working with a teleprompter. He hems and haws, and stammers (and forgets how many states there are, or what city he's in) as bad as George W. Bush ever did. Can't let reality tarnish the carefully crafted image of "The One". How they want you to see him: (the "halo" is a nice touch ) Reality:
Barry was the name he went by until he found himself (in a pile of cocaine and alcohol, perhaps) in college. Politics is an ugly sport. Obama frightens me. He's a hard leftist who has been annointed by the media. They've covered for him and his dubious connections, like unapologetic terrorists, who has ZERO experience as an executive. His voting record is hard left, something this country is not and the media has covered for him in that regard. He is by far the most unqualified candidate that has been put forward, perhaps in our history. Many of his stances in the foreign policy arena just demonstrate his naivety. Coupled with that, he's unleashed his attack dogs who are trying to intimidate, silence, and squelch any honest reporting of his true record, something that Bush has been accused of for the past several years. He's a good script reader but that's about it. Given what is at stake, he's not the guy for the job. I'm not McCains biggest fan but he's proven himself that he can lead and won't make rookie mistakes.
This is exactly the same way I look at it. I didn't vote for Mccain...I voted for Huckabee (I liked Fred Thompson too by the way). However, after watching the skeletons pop out of Obama's closet one by one, you have to become a little worried at some point. This guy, among being inexperienced, LAUNCHED his campaign with the help of Bill Ayers. THESE are the kind of the things that NO politician should be caught up in. You simply CAN'T be friendly with a guy who BOMBED the Pentagon. On the otherhand, you have a candidate who's been in Congress longer then I've been alive, and the WORST thing the Democrats can dig up...is how many HOUSES the guy owns? So you're saying it's NOT ok to be successful in America? Democrats just DON'T make sense.
No instead this old crack pot will keep sleeping with the lobbyists of big buisness, and oil, and the military industrial complex, and keep this country on a "stay the course" agenda of forever war, and slowly keep violating the constitution until dissent and protest become a crime of "terror". This guy voted with the proven views of Bush 90% of the time And I don't know about the rest of you but most people will agree, that these policies and views have sucked. Good God just look at the approval ratings for Bush/Cheney. McCain is not a leader, he is a flip flopping follower of the $$$, at our expense.
How has Mccain violated the Constitution? I don't think fighting terrorism and being pro-life sucks. Unlike the misguided folks of the MSM, I could really care less about approval ratings. Harry Truman, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington had low approval ratings when they were in office, and now they are considered heroes. So what's your point?
I think we are already there. Thats something McCain is going to have a hard time distancing himself from. I've heard and read how McCain is a 'proven leader' but the only thing I've seen him prove in the last decade or so is what you've stated, that being McCain is a flip flopping follow the leader.
