I have an '87GT 5.0 that recently started backfiring badly and idles hard. I changed the cord, springs, wires and ps valve. It's constantly running at 2000 rpm. Half the time I have to fight to get the thing started. I'm thinking it might be the distributor, but was hoping for some other ideas and thoughts.
