So I got up yesterday real early to put this tremec cobra spec T-5 in my car. Got the old trans out in an hour and a half, took a break. Took my time so I didn't forget about anything. Finally got the trans in at around 3. I also found out my new valve covers need a phenolic spacer to clear them from my intake. So I get a stock valve cover back on get the car running. So I take it for a test drive and the trans is makin a funky faint knocking noise and is whining little bit, its not going into 2nd or 3rd smoothly. So I thought it was the adjustable stop causing the trans to be a little chunky into gear. So get back to my house and adjust the stops. Take the car out again and the trans seems to be making more noise than it was. So I figured I'd see if it would hold up to some power. Get on it in first (btw a 2.95 first gear ratio is awesome), and as soon as I hit second the trans starts screaming and popping. Third gear is the same way. I now have no gears except 4th and have to put my old trans back in! Not a good weekend for my mustang. Just had to vent a lil bit.
