im almost 100% sure i wanna go with an Si-trim, but if my mechanical roller dart 347 makes over 500rwhp n/a then i may just stay n/a (still saying a more reasonable 440rwhp) then i'll probably smash the boost to 18psi or so and run it to the 750+ mark

That's because all the powershifting with extra weight of the kids and groceries killed it :D

I've got another T-5 patiently waiting on my operating table. Hopefully I can save it.

Yeah, but they are small, light, and I can rebuild them with my eyes closed.

I'd rather go G-force in a T-5 rather than a 3550-based trans. I just light the compact, light design and servicability of the T-5 over it.

95% of the time 3rd gear is what breaks in a t5. You clearly broke 3rd gear. Soooo, you attempt to get it back into 3rd, succeed, and then drive it home in 3rd... :bang:

Oh, have fun with the girlomatic. An auto is only faster than a bad driver.

:nice: And they shift like butter. I rebuilt mine with an APW gearset at least 10k miles ago I believe, maybe closer to 15. It's seen more powershifts than I can even imagine, several a day, and it loves every minute of it.

That maybe but trust me I broke more than third gear. I no longer have any gear including reverse and really didn't give a crap about the T-5, just didn't want to be stranded on the highway. I can't even move the shifter around, it sounds like a metal meat grinder!

And it maybe a girlomatic but if it makes me faster I couldn't care less. I don't baby my car and I drove the living #%@ out of it, rowing through the gears like I was trying to rip the shifter off it's base.

And...an auto isn't only faster than a bad driver. It's more consistent.

Welcome to the club. Blew out my stock T5 last summer. Swapped in a new T5z only because I couldn't come up w/ the $$ for the T56. But I will when the z grenades.

i have never done a t45 before. i have looked over the service manual and it looks a little more involved than a t5. I dnot own a car that uses a t45 so never had the need to learn or give it a shot
