why do i see so many dented with a hammer longtubes

does the steering shaft actually go in between one of the tubes?

does hooker actually fit better? i have only seen shorties for these cars from hooker.
do they make a longtube ?

I have bassani longtubes...the steering shaft goes in between the primaries. I have a c-4 with explode proof bellhousing and they actually fit. Each primary comes loose from the collector and head which is the only way it is possible to get them in. I didnt have to "hammer" on any of the tubes.

i had the hooker super comps with a C4 and had to run an aftermarket steering shaft but that was it. and if your running an auto, i had to take my motor mounts loose to get them in. its also a very close fit with the stock starter but i ran mine without problems.

I have MAC long tubes and they fit quite easily without removing the steering shaft.

Have had MAC 1 5/8" longtubes no fitament problems, MAC 1 3/4" long tube no problems, and just installed some Kooks 1 7/8" long tubes and they fit great as well.

those kooks fit on a box stock tw head?
auto or stick ,large bell housing?

If the headers are built for TW heads then they should fit. I have a C4 with a 157t SFI bell housing. My Kooks are built for my AFR 205s.
