A new hood. Hopefully I can get it painted this weekend. Until then Ill be rolling green and white. Its a 3.5 in cowl from H.O. Fibertrends. I was gonna get a cheaper one but Ive heard SO many horror stories about them not fitting right, needing tons of work, or being like an inch or two too short. **** that. I didnt want to risk it. It looks huge in this pic, but its just sitting on the stock hood. That adds like 2 inches to it. And if you look in the background you will see that ****ty truck I have to paint when I have time.
Ok, Im gonna paint it with a black cowl like I have right now. Should I paint it black between the black lines, or between the red lines?
Black lines. A hard paint line in the soft lines of the hood will look funny. Edit: Nevermind, it was just that picture. The head on shot with is sitting on the car shows the first step up has a harder line. Follow that for the paint hard line.
See this is why I dont know which one to go with. lol And the lines on the red are actually pretty solid. But the black lines would look pretty sweet.
I change my mind... the other picture shows the hood lines better. The one you drew on, shows it's all really soft.
I think Ill do the red lines. The lines on the lower cowl are sharper, and the top cowl lines actually are gone towards the front.
tried to get u on AIM... if u look in the rear view mirror u can get a shot of the hood as well... its my buddies car... hes got it painted flat black between ur "red" lines... and the part of the bumper where the emblem usually is is painted black as well... its looks REAL sick... that would be my suggestions definitely... those are the only pictures i found
You should paint it like the 10 Liter Boss, minus the BOSS writing and the strobe stripes going down the side.
With the two colors, DFG and Black, really it won't make as much difference where you set the paint lines. LOL
between redlines I think, would probaly flow better like mentioned with the corral. nice choice on hood I wish I spent a few more bucks for that perfect fit.
You guys are gonna have to bear with me. I cant find my good camera, and its been raining all day. Hence the overcast sky and dirty car. The circles are where Im gonna cut it out and put some gauges.
Ill have them wired up to a switch. When Im not in the car, Ill flip the switch, and the gauges will have 1.21 gigawatts flowing through them.
