How much money did you guys pay to have lowering springs installed? also, is it smarter to have them done with shocks/struts, anything else?

I've heard that if you don't lower it anymore than two inches, you don't have to add c/c plates. Can anyone respond to this? Also, can anyone recommend a good (and not outrageously expensive) combo (springs/shocks/struts)?
TIA

Install them yourself!
I thought the same thing..Volldamort said:
Generally if you don't go past a 1.5" drop you won't need c/c plates. I'm using eibach pro kit and didn't need c/c plates. The mach 1 tokicos work well with these springs. This combo works pretty well as far as a good lowered look and nice firm ride. Cost isn't too bad either...ShadowGT said:I don't want to hijack your thread matsm21, but is it always necessary to install aftermarket c/c plates when you lower? Drive your car for short while to let the springs settle,(I did about 2 weeks of driving with the new springs), then get a front end alignment...2k2SilverBullet said:do you need a new alignment when you lower your car
