MAF CONVERSION

IM DOING A MAF CONVERSION ON MY 86' LOOKING FOR IDEAS OF WHAT CARS I CAN SNAG THE COMPUTER OUT OF IN ORDER TO DO THIS. ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE GREAT.

I went to Advance Auto for mine. About a hundred bucks with exchange of the old one.

Ive done the swap before, you wanna get a harness from an 89 Mustang, its plug n play, no left over unused plugs from the would be airbags and etc from the 90 and up models Is your car a 5 speed or auto, it is specific on some computers. I believe an a9P will work with both which is what i used, because i also did a 5 speed swap. If yours is a 5 speed a9L is what you want!!

Ist also makes a conversion harness for about 40.

You need a harness, a computer and a maf. Also, on your 86 if it does not have cruise control you may need to add a vss sensor on the trans.
