OK, it's pretty easy Eric. I think I have a 400 next to my name. That doesn't mean 400 transactions, but 400 different people I have dealt with on Ebay. Depending on what they were selling, I have made many purchase from an individual/company. So, the number next to the user name is the number of different members they have dealt with. If they have any negative feedback, check it before you decide not to purchase from them. It might have been the buyers error and they sent a bad feedback just to cover their rear. The star color changes as your number goes up, so that is what the star signifies. Ebay is basically an online auction. That means that if you want to sell something by auction, you set maybe a start price and how many days you want to run for. You agree to sell for the ending auction price and the buyer agrees to purchase for the price including any shipping. Buy It Now means that is the price you buy it for. Check going prices for an item before you buy it now. Make sure that the total of the price and shipping is less than what you can get elsewhere. Some guys ship free. Don't be afraid to buy from China. I have purchased cell phones from Taiwan. I got a bad one once and emailed them. They told me to send it to them and get a confirmation number. When I emailed the confirmation, they shipped me a replacement phone without waiting for the other to get there. So, just check the feed back. Most guys selling auto parts online are pretty honest as to what they are selling. Check guys that will give you a return policy, no matter how limited it is. I have picked up a lot of old rare Z interior parts that were in better than advertised condition for cheap. Good luck with your future Ebay purchases.
