Well i've had the mufflers for a few months now and i just scored the tail pipes to go with them from the same guy i got the mufflers off of (i now have $50 in a $480 cat-back..lol) and i'm very pleased. I may actually pass on getting the Spintechs now. I'm running them with MAC full lengths and a Dr. Gas offroad X pipe and they sound amazing....completely different than the clips i've heard with them ran with an H pipe. I think they're about as "DOHC 4.6" as i've ever heard on a 5.0. My only gripe is the way the tail pipes look...they're the chrome tips and i don't like how you can see where the chrome stops (as opposed to MAC which are chrome all the way up under the car) but the up side to that is the tips are fully adjustable and you can adjust them perfectly the way you want and it's a lot easier than adjusting MACs (which is pretty easy to begin with). The best part is that they're smooth and mellow sounding at cruising speeds but scream like hell when you mash the gas...perfect for keeping a low profile around the popo :D

I'll try to get some clips up tonight or maybe tomorrow.

Yeah i would assume so...i don't know if there's any model selection or if they just have their one style or what since i got these used. They're the polished stainless (kinda silly to have chrome mufflers...lol). I really didn't expect them to sound like they do. After hearing a lot of clips online i figured they'd sound real mellow and rumbly. Maybe it's the X pipe. I still don't have video yet...i'm gonna see about getting my buddy to follow me in his 'stang and get some rolling clips instead of the typical park and rev clips.

    I absolutely LOVE mine!

For the exact same reason as you say, really calm and quiet when you idle around with no drone...but when you mash on the gas DAAAAAMN they can get really loud!

Yep, your description is pretty much dead on. Relatively low key at cruising speed but they howl when you open it up; and it has a very unique tone for a 5.0. The off-road X definitley makes a difference. I've been meaning to get some rolling clips myself.

I've been considering 'em. They're straight-through muffs like Pypes Violators, but they're more civil than Violators (from the clips I've heard, and my buddy's '04 Mach 1), which as mentioned helps cut down on the po-po paranoia factor. I just think they're a bit pricey ... although Violators are all-stainless now, too, and they're a lot more expensive than when I scored my last set for $80 a PAIR at the WFC vendor alley. Since I'm apparently keeping my GT 'vert, I might give Magnaflows a serious consideration when it comes time for new muffs to replace my way-too-tame Dynomax Super Turbos... :nice:

Rolling clips are the best, but remember if he has a loud Mustang you might hear his car as well as yours. I have my friend follow in an Audi, so there was no other car noise to contend with.

To be honest i still don't like them as much as MACs with an X pipe, but they do sound awesome. I wouldn't have spent the cash on them new though...i've seen them as low as $440 for the cat-back...that's outrageous. Then again i was looking today at Spintech's kits and theirs is over $800!!! The Spintechs are one of the last mufflers out there besides the Pypes and SLP's that i haven't tried so i may still buy just the mufflers and give them a go. I have yet to hear them in person too which is a lot different than videos.

I used the discount code at partshopper and got mine for like $330 about 3 years ago. Mine is actually loud in all ranges and screams when puttin your foot into it. But Im sure its due to my combo.

Yeah they're also a glass pack style muffler so over time they're gonna get louder. Also i got to hear it better today with my buddy driving and it's not as rippy as it sounds when you're driving it yourself...it's real deep until high RPM. I'd say i'm either getting Spintechs, MACs (again) or sticking with these.

I got them on ebay a long while ago. Guy was selling them and I think he was a dealer. I searched shortly after to find them again and couldn't. Never knew they were an expensive muffler, I assumed they were kind of cheap.

When i bought my Magnaflow catback about 4 years ago they still had the other style of tail pipe where the stainless extends past the wheels. So now i'm running MAC headers, Magnaflow catted H and 40 series flows.I wanted louder so i swapped in the flows... Sounds pretty good imo.

    Good stuff

Yeah Magnaflows rule. I am a huge Magnaflow fan and have been for years.

I've run them on my past 2 stangs. No drone and a nice deep tone. Not too loud at idle/low rpms.

I payed $350 for my last catback about a year ago. It's now $400 even. Those prices are from performancepeddler.com with free shipping.

FYI, Magnaflow uses spun volcanic rock (rockwoll) instead of fiberglass. It lasts much longer and wont burn out like fiberglass does.
