I've been fighting with my Magnaflow catted-x for a couple of months now. I can't get the passenger side flange to seal. I've tried new Ford gaskets, I tried the high temp Permatex copper silicone, but nothing has gotten rid of the leak. I even shortened the amount of pipe that protrudes out of the flange to the same length as the factory h. Nothing. I'm thinking of trying two gaskets, it's hokey, but it may be worth a shot in case there is something else interfering with compressing a single gasket enough. Anyone tried it?

2 Ford gaskets won't work because they are metal and because of the lead (?) insert in the middle. What I did was get 2 regular gaskets (non-metal) that fit the flange from the local muffler shop and used some permatex copper to adhere the 2 gaskets together. Then I added some permatex to both sealing surfaces and bolted it up. No leak so far. :nice:
