The remote manual mirrors in my 88 are shot, they hardly move at all. I found a set of remote manual mirrors in the JY that work great but I can't figure out for the life or me how to get them off. I got the inside trim panel with the lever unscrewed and the mirror unbolted but I can't get the lever mechanism out of the the inside trim panel. Anyone know how?????

According to the manual there is an Allen set screw holding the control to the cover. Did you loosen the Allen?
