I have a T5Z sitting in my garage that was in my 90 Stang GT. I have since parted out that car, and am in the process of getting a 2000 V6 Stang on the road. The V6 tranny has issues; reverse and 5th in particular. The engine is out at the moment, it was bored .030 over, and I have done a top overhaul, replaced the motor mounts and replaced the clutch/pp assembly. Now comes the question: The bell housing appears to be identical to the V8 block I have in terms of bolt / pin position. Flywheel on the V6 looks very close to the 90 GT flywheel I had. The V6 bell housing is deeper by about 1/2 inch. But IF I can use a 87-90 GT bell housing, I can stab the T5Z into the V6. I know that the tail housing on the V6 tranny will have to be placed on the T5Z due to electronics in the the tail, but other than that, will this work? I'm prepared to order a 87-90 bell housing to start the process, but really want opinions / options on how to make this work.

Thanks
