mechanic screw up

i had my 95 stang in the shop for a broken intake bolt and they called me and said the oil pump went out. i took it home and drained the oil. it had a bunch of cotton like lint in the oil and only about 2 1/2 quarts of oil in it. I remembered when i checked on the car it had the intakes off and a towel covering the balancing shaft and lifters from dirt.(this is a 2000 model replacement). so i was betting that that towel was left under the intake when it was put back together. i took the intakes off and sure enough the towel was tore up and wrapped around the shaft and lint everywhere. so i hauled it back to them to show them and they are gonna flush the oil system and reassemble the motor back.

Well how do you forget to take the towel off to put the intake back on? That is a new one!

I left a 3/4" extender under the hood one time. It got stuck between the hood and headlight. I dunno about leaving a towel inside the engine tho, lol.
