Hey all,

The car in question is a bone stock '03 GT 5 speed. 86k miles.

The medium-high fan speed blows exactly the same as the medium-low. So essentially ive only got 3 settings for my HVAC.

Is this just a fuse or something?

TIA

Replace the blower motor resister. It is located in the passenger foot area near the glove box on the bottom of the vent ducts.

Stick your head on the floor boards and look straight up behind the glove box. The wires should be plainly visible.

Faint heart never won fair maiden. Get your noggin under the dash and you'll see it, as Mr. Burns said. You'll need a decent light or flashlight. It's pretty dark back there. And your back might get mad at you, too.

You're looking for a rectangular blocky looking thing. If you have a Haynes manual ($20 at the auto parts store) it will show you the resistor. Local library may have a subscription to AllData, too, or a copy of Chilton's on the shelf.

HTH,

Chris

Thanks fellas! Indeed, faint heart never won fair maiden, but i didnt want to cross wire the flux capacitor with the plasma injection manifold and start leaking neutron radiation into the passenger compartment lol.
