I have taken the car to two places and they have no idea what it is. The problem is, when the car is on a lift, the sound cannot be replicated.
To describe it, it sounds like a piece of metal tapping another piece of metal. It does it when I am driving slow or fast, hit a bump or on a smooth road, in any gear including neutral, and even when I am almost at a stop. No idea what it is. Sometimes I will get one click and someone I will get a "click click". Anyone ever experience anything like this? Car still drives great other than needing a new throwout bearing. I doubt this has anything to do with it?
If I don't have my window/top down, I can barely hear it. And it is sporadic - some days it does it more than others for no apparent reason. The guy even thought I was full of it when I took it in until I had him drive it with the window down.
