Mishimoto Radiator lasted me 10 days... and now its leaking.

My Mishimoto has been in for over a year now w/ no issues. A year an two months.

Before Mishimoto ever hit the scene Fluidyne had a bad rap for the exact same reasons. You hear/read more about Mishimoto failures due to there price point (more can afford them).

Hmm so it seems more of a dice roll....and as time goes on luck will improve.

I did an install similar to that with a brass radiator that was designed for a Fox one time. I wouldn't consider that a direct install, but for the price you can't beat it. I once set one of those Jegs radiators up for a 69' Camaro, by welding aluminum brackets to the sides of it. Looked real professional.

Paul, since my car is back home and I need to order the radiator, can you verify that this is the correct one? Keith said it was but for me to double check and since I can't double check, I just would like some verification.

have to wait on pics until my car gets back. Having new cam, hood pins (for safety only) uppr ctrl arms, (414 destroyed the stockers lol), and strut tower brace customized. BTW your link of my link no workee.

Yep, and Mishimoto actually admitted the problem (which is pretty big in my book) and did something about fixing it. Still haven't heard a thing from Fluidyne about refund or replacement and theirs went bad on me over a year ago before I switched to Mishi.

Here is a pic of my non direct fit Griffin. Zip tie the fan to it takes 3 seconds then just put that bracket on to hold the top. If that isn't worth a couple hundred bucks idk what is.

just got my Second replacement radiator from Mishimoto.
i shot them an email with an explaination and a picture of the leak on saturday.
it shipped on monday,got here on wednesday.
i'm going to install it tomorrow.

their replacement policy is good,but i wish i never had to use it.
i'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one will have no problems.

I installed a Mishimoto in my old '95 and had it in the car for a year before it started a slow leak. It leaked slowly for about 2 weeks, then one day it just started leaking like a sieve. I was driving down to Savannah for school the next day so I got a stock replacement from the local auto parts store and threw the Mishi behind the garage and forgot about it. I just recently sent the warranty stuff in and got the new one and sold it to my friend since I no longer need one as I no longer have my old car.

I read on Corral somewhere that Mishimoto fixed the problem because they were sending out massive quantities of warranty replacements, so we shall see what happens with my buddy. I'll keep this thread updated.

i think the one that is leaking in my car is the new 3 row replacement.
i'll check today when i pull it out.

finished installing the new radiator.
the one i just took out was one of the 2 row units.
the replacement is the new 3 row units.
please no more leaks!

so far so good for mine, and its recently taken some hard launchs at the track

Cool, I bet you won't need another replacement now that you are running three row!

Too many 'ifs' with this damn radiator, gonna do what Keith did and get the Summit one. Good luck to the Mishimoto guys.
