More bad news

Well my car started making a knocking like noise today, not all the time only on a fairly hard pull once it gets past 3500 rpm, gonna put it on the lift and hope for something rubbing.

What's the average rebuild mileage on these 4.6's under typical gt stick car usage?

Would there be knock sensors to detect a knock? Would it trigger a CEL? My dash is clear.

Not near as loud and its absolutely silent until 3500.

Kind of like that though just not near as bad. You gotta turn off the radio and air and the Windows still have to be down and you can still barely hear it.

Perhaps you should replace the fuel filter. Something must be clogging it and starving it of fuel. Just a thought good luck.

Wouldn't that trigger a CEL?

Is it acceptable to do just the bearings,or might as well do a full rebuild?

I do want to s/c this soon so I am considering forging the motor while I got it out, is mmr a good deal for 800.00

Ok, in neutral with parking brake on, I can open hood and rev it from there, no matter how high,hard or long I hold it there not a peep.
