Motorsport 1.7 RR's, will they clear stock vlv cvs?

I'm picking them up tonite and probably putting them on this weekend. Someone told me i just take out the baffles that are on the inside of the covers. Anyone know for sure? and also, will i feel any power gains or hear any difference?

They cleared on my 91 and i did have to take out the baffles. You might hear a slight change in sound and very marginal power increase. If you're looking for some real power increase (seat of the pants anyway) look into a higher stall converter. No comparison to a stock one.

i cold not clear with 1.6 with the baffles out, so beats the shiit outta me

The valve covers are different on the inside, from around 1991 (I think it was '91) and on.......... no internal ribs on the later ones.

i had to remove the baffles on my 89 gt with the 1.72's and on my 89 coupe with 1.7's they had to come out as well.
