MP3 Player + Stock Mach 460 head unit

I asked a while back about how I can hook an MP3 player to my stock Mach 460 head unit. Well I remembered reading a while back about doing this with a PIE cable. The cable is supposed to connect somehow to a jack on the back of the unit used to control an external CD changer. Has anyone else done this or know how to do it? Any tech articles out there that outline this?
