On the fence between a pair of super 40 Flows and SLP Loudmouth II

Going on a cammed 91 lx currently running old Flows and dumps

Want something throaty sounding when I get on it but not silent at idle

Opinions?

Not sure about the LM IIs, but they probably provide a way different sound then Flowmasters. This sounds like a personal thing, if you like the FM sound, grab those, want something different, get the LM IIs.

friend of mine just installed a 3 inch exhaust on his cuda. long tube headers a x pipe and magnaflows. I really like the sound of his car.

bullets with dumps...its what i have on mine.. sounds great....less drone inside when cruising on highway than flows....and much louder at wot...

order online, or a local speedshop can get them, or a mufffler shop should be able to get them.

From video clips I've heard online, LM2s sound like butt. But so do Dronemasters and Bullets imo. I love Mac, but they have a little more of a raspy sound than the "throaty" you're looking for.

Mac's have never sounded raspy to me. Pypes ont he other hand IMHO are nothing BUT raspy and sounds like crap. As do SLP's. The new flowmaster Super 44's which are suposed to have a very aggressive tone sound like 3 chamber flows to me. I say go with 3in mac's with dumps and enjoy the sound they will produce.
