Hey, I have a 2012 GT Automatic, 4 speaker system.
I am looking to buy 2 INFINITY 100.9W KAPPA SERIES 10" SUBS
a KENWOOD EXCELON DNX6990HD head unit
4 INFINITY REFERENCE X REF-8602cfx
and a FORD MUSTANG DASH ADAPTOR 142FD1441B
all of these, I am getting off of Crutchfield.com
Does this set up sound good? Any suggestions positive or negative would be great. I don't want anything ridiculous, just something sounding great. I was going to get a rear seat delete, and a ported box, cut the rear seat delete and insert the box, so my subs would be facing the interior of my car. Put the body of the box in my trunk, just have it facing through to my interior

The Excelon is a nice head unit for sure. I have not been a fan of Infinity speakers in a car, they are too high and jazzy for my style, I used to sell their home speakers and like those though. I would look at JBL (they are owned by Harmon Kardon as well as Infinity) on crutchfield, and if you can afford it go with the Fosgate, those have been the best for me in the S197s.

BTW you can get some good 'thump' out of a sealed inclosure in the trunk without having to port any of the sound back in the car, so dont worry about that. You can get some GOOD midlevel base out of a nice set of 8" in the front doors.
