Well they have published an LT1 running 13.5 bone stock and I have seen some 13.8 bone stockers too.

Car&Driver has a 95 Camaro Z28 SS listed running 13.6 but it's not stock. They have another Camaro Z28 the same year running 14.4, a 25th Anniversary TA running 14.1 and a WS6 Firebird at 14.1
The quickest one I've seen has run 13.83@103.07 but most were/are in the very low 14's with street tires.

Here's a link to a Camaro vs Mustang test:

If he can't drive you should take him. It took some doing for a guy in our club to finally beat me at the track. His ET and speed (14.2 at 105)were better than mine (14.5 at 97) but I'd beat him to the line. I was getting 2.0 sixties compared to his 2.5+...Get him out of the hole and you will win because playing catch up is a ****. Set an end for the run otherwise he will come around on top end. Best to take it to a track...

In the 1/4 mile I say drivers race but, giving him
    the slight advantage though.

    Can't be a 95 as the SS debut was in 96, probably a 96.

Here is where Hot Rod took a bone stock one to a 13.5

    Hmmm....this is how it's listed:
Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS [SLP Performance] tested 12/94

Looking at it today I'm thinking they made a typo and it is indeed the SS from 96' which has the factory SLP package and the date tested should have been 12/95 perhaps? The magazine it's in is from 96'. That would make sense.

The first mod I would recommend is some gears. These will make a nice difference and maximize the PI motor's power band. Remember, the PI motors are not torque monsters like the 302, so they need gears to wind out.

So would it make more sense to say do the gears, and exhaust all at once, so if i wanted to order a turner it can be programmed with those mods all-ready in there or doesnt that really matter, i guess i was allways a little confused on how the mail order tunes worked.. and were are some good companies to get a stall from?

Do gears and converter first, skip the longtubes for now and get a cheap off road x untill you go with the long tubes and just swap in the stock x for stickers.

Trust me on the converter + gears best mods hands down for a auto. Totally different car with those mods.

Converter and gears will make your car seem like
a totally different car. Those are the best mods
for a auto car. Also practice your launches before
    you race this clown.
