Good start. I would think you would have found it easier to slide the headers into place, with the heads off the car and just wire them out of the way in the mean time, no?

yeah we could have, but we're just going to use a cradle and pull the motor up a bit, and pull it side to side depending on which header we put in....it was late, we were both really smoked and didn't think about it :)

actually we're just kinda putt putt'in along...not really in a big rush, making sure everything is the way it's supposed to be. Have to finish it up today though, so I can go home (at a friends house) but I think we're doing pretty good.... :) can't wait to fire it up and go beat on :p

    Great notch!

I really like that GT front end on there, but I think it needs the Cobra fender extension, to get rid of the 'scoop' in front of the tire.
That is what looks out of place.

Well a little over a week of driving the car, all I can see is HOLY F*&##^!!&)#*!.

Prior to doing this swap the car would fall on it's face at 5100 rpm (including on the dyno) and that was were the power stopped.
I'm sure some of you have thought to yourself "I wanna see how far I can push it" and then you have that moment of clarity,
and you feel the seat cushion becoming part of your backside. Well that happened to me yesterday. I ran it all the way to 7800 rpm
and the car kept pulling. I however got that "oh ****" feeling and got out of it. Then I noticed the black marks going through the intersection.

Am I happy with the outcome.....

    OH YEAH :)

Great project, is it over? Can't believe you got away with 19lb injectors. After H/C/I my car had issues on the dyno, like 268HP, fall on it's face in high RPM, etc. I installed MSD Blaster Coil, MSD 9MM Plug wires, Kirban Adjustable Fuel Regulator, 24lb Injectors and Pro-M 77 MAF then the car was solid making 292HP.

No sir it's not over. :) 19'lber's are good up to 300. I don't think they are maxed out on their duty cycle, but they are on the upper echelon that is for sure. I actually had a set to throw in, but it was just too much going on, and I didn't have time to throw them in. I need to pick up a PRO-M MAF cal'd for 24's anyway. My car pulls great in RPM (e-303) but is lacking on the lower end, which is fine. I also need to get an adjustable fuel regulator and gauge (it's running rich) which I think will help out as well. The car feels strong, but I'm not done yet :)

Went to the track friday night, and I should have known better. Traction in 60ft was a joke (granted I'm still on NT555's and not DR's or slicks)
Then someone leaked oil all the way down the right lane. So everyone had to run in the left lane. So only 3 passes. MPH is there, but traction was not:

Next plan is picking up a set of ET's for my 2 spare cobra wheels, and going to a different track, either Houston, San Antonio or Prairie Hill.

You went to TAD right? SAR is nicer IMO though it has been a couple of years since I've been there.
