Hello all, I just bought my first, but not last fox body. Loved these cars since I was a kiddo, and now I'm quite possibly obsessed...
Bought this old girl off the second owner, who put 180k on it and took decent care of it. He originally set the car up for autocross, put all the time and money into it but never enjoyed the fruits of his labor. Unfortunately Ohio salty roads have taken advantage of the car.
The car is built pretty good considering most people (at least in ohio) enjoy terrorizing the foxbodies.
306 with Jr windor head, trick flow cam, systemax intake, 70mm TB. Underdrive pulleys and a fat radiator.

T5, with 228,000 miles on it.
I have no idea what the suspenion is, I know it's too low for my liking, but it handles quite well.
Right now I'm just replacing the minor issues, leaky water pump, door actuators, door pins etc. Hopefully I can get it painted this winter, accumulating all the body panels I'll need right now. Like a squirrell waiting for winter
I'll try an attempt to upload some photos

End goal is to have a good looking weekend driver, occasionally take it to the local track. If I could make it completely stock minus a few mods, I'd be happy with it.
I'll post some suspension pics when I change the oil this week.
The interior is what sold it to me, other then getting it for the right price.
The engine bay could use some attention, but the whole car could too

Clean engine bay, very nice. I also have a somewhat clean engine bay, makes a world of difference.

I have some cleaning up to do. I'm going to diagnose the AC and if it's anything major, I'll just yank it. The smog pump is still in the car, but everything is disconnected from it. I bought some engine degreaser, but I'm super nervous to use it so it just sits in my shed. So one day hopefully I'll get the sack to use it,properly.

This is mines here. Not the cleanest, but it will pass the ok mark. I added that setup a few months ago.

That looks good man. One day when I have a few hours to spare I need to clean it up. Did you use any of the "engine degreasers". If so is there any tricks to protecting all the connectors? Or just tape and bag them all.

Follow this link to fix your door lock actuator problems

You will need the Adobe Acrobat viewer which is also a free download – http://get.adobe.com/reader/

http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/attachments/door-lock-actuator-fix-pdf.88290/

Stuck with door lock actuators that don't work and don't want to pay the $50+ for a new one? Tried the junkyard ones and found that they last six months and freeze up?

A new actuator for less than $7. Fix one side for $20, do both sides for only $28. I don't sell parts, I don’t make any money off of the upgrade, I just tell you how to do it cheaply and easily.

By the way, i am still using the same $4 actuators I bought in 2002 and this is the second Mustang I have installed them in! Beat that with your fancy replacements!

Thanks for the link above. I recently replaced my driver side actuator. I wish I wouldve read that before doing so. I had troubles finding where the rod actually went, so of course I had to remove my passenger side door panel to figure it out. Needless to say I'll start researching the forum before doing much of anything.

I have used engine degreasers, and yes i cover it up with plastic and tape. Cover up the wires from where they connect, and cover up the distributor, and battery wires, ect. I let it sit for about 30 minutes, then hose down with a hose. I used to do it at them car washes with the power hoses. That way all the grease goes down the drain. And the power hoses do a great job. But yes, make sure you cover up everything really good. Either that or take it a shop, they know what they are doing. Then clean the rest up yourself with a rag, and some kinda cleaner. It does take long, but worth it.

Just picked up a 93 convertible with a great body,Same exact color too. It's a 4cy auto. Gonna start tearing that one apart. I was looking for a thread of interchangeable parts, but couldn't find much. If anyone has a link I'd appreciate it. I'd imagine all the accessory stuff, alt, power steering pump,AC. Etc. would be the same. I'll add some more pics tomorrow.

So, I started cross referencing parts according to part numbers provided by Advanced Auto. All drive belt equipment works, besides the PS pump. All window components are the same including wiper motor motor and washer pump.

A/C components are the same including blower motor.
The starters have different part number, from my understanding though it will still work.

I'll be posting a few convertable part's and 2.3 parts in the classifieds once I test them and make sure they work properly. I've nevery sold anything online,it may get interesting. Im going to sell super cheap since I bought the car for 350 bones, plus pizza and beer for the help.

Well, took the car to see what it'd cost to get it painted, along with all the body work. was a little out of my price range. I think my next step is to buy a nice roller, or 4cyl. car and transplant everything I have into it. just bought some land, and spending most my time trying to get ready to build a house. the pony car is having to take a back seat for now.
