Ok this is what I have running through my head. Stock block 351w, stock crank, light I-beams, Mahle pistons, Something along the lines of a TFS stage 3 cam, and I think I can get my hands on some 2v heads from a 400-M. This build is race only. No more than 6500 rpm. I already know there are other better heads out there but not for the money. I 'm pretty sure I can do this build for about 2k. What do you think?

Sounds pretty good....what compression do you have in mind? Race gas or pump? I'd love to have a crazy 12:1 race gas 351 stroker but i couldn't stand not being able to drive on pump gas. That stage 3 is a sweet cam as well. As for the heads, i dunno much about'em so i can't knock'em but i know there are some ridiculously badass heads that would make a combo like this really crazy. Are you thinking EFI or carbed? What intake setup for either one?

Make sure those heads are able to take the lift of the stage 3 cam.

Oooh, good point on the heads. Do you know much about em Blue cobra? It'll be around 12:1 at least. Carbed EFI is too much $$$. Do you guys think that 2v heads are enough or should I go for 4V cleavland's ?
