"Knock Knock......Yes....I'm the Incident Investigator for #@%@!@#$ Battery Co......we recieved a notification over the wire from the Fire Department that a one of our batteries may have been faulty and may have caused your fire. If you could grant me access to your car, I'd like to conduct my own inspection prior to any settlements we may agree to. I only need about 60 minutes alone with your car. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ma'am, you will be hearing from our Incident Service rep withint 7-10 business days with a response."

AND, that is why it is in a locked garage with an alarm. Oh, yeah, before you guys get any ideas...........the Cause and Origin guy took the battery and the cylinoid after he pried the melted mess of a battery off my steering pump with a crow bar.
well there went all of your evidence of a battery fire!! you aint getting no money now. or have you already gotten a settlement? i think you did but im not sure but if you didnt your screwed now.
I am not screwed. I have a full report sitting right here next to me from the Cause and Origin guy, who was from MY insurance company. It states full cause of the fire was a defective battery.
