I have a 93 Lx coupe automatic 2.3L , I want to do the v8 conversion , I havent done anything yet, the 93lx still run and drive perfect.

Its cheaper and better if I can find a coupe with a v8 already in it ?

Which option will come out better and cheaper for me at the end ?

No rush on this option.

It doesn't have to be a coupe, but , yes it is way easier and cheaper to swap out of a donor.

Besides cheaper, you'll see where to put and hook up everything.

I think there is a help thread or two for doing this very thing, btw.

If you want something stockish, buy a v8 car. If you are going to build a race car or something really custom, starting with a 4 cylinder isn't a bad option.

Having done this, it is better to have a donor car. Saves time and money tracking down the little things. I believe the 89 is preferred due to the wiring being able to fit and work in any foxbody but double check on that. The biggest issues is the dash wiring harness. They are not all compatible with one another. Some i believe are single year specific like a 91. We need some pics of the 4 cyl too.
