need advice on affordable tires

there are quite a few tires in the kum-ho price range that are lightyears better. a few posts back i reccomended dunlop direzza's. 105 a tire and far superior. even the p-zero corsa's i posted a pic of are not that much more than a kum-ho. go to tire rack and you will find many tires that are in the kum-ho price range and far better tires. tires, imo, are too important to choose based solely on price. if you are going to just burn them off, go buy a used tire.

I guess you have the experience to know. Maybe next time I need tires I will check out those Direzza's (would need to look a little closer though, since they are really designed for light compact cars).

BTW, the corsa's are competition tires. So they are kinda off point for this conversation. Oh and at $250 a piece, they are beyond just a little more than the 712's or 711's.

my bust. i just assumed that since i got 295/35/18's for 220 that the 17's would be cheaper.

i have kuhmo's too right now and they really aren't that badb
