ok i just pulled the throwout bearing and it looks fine but inside of the new and old moves back and forth of the throwout bearing is this normal? and the problem why i pulled the throwout bearing out is that the clutch or throwout bearing was making a grinding noise and i need help on figuring this out the noise was as if you were to put the car in reverse or first and was about to move and you did not put it all the way and gear and it makes that grinding noise and the only reason why i think its the throwout is because when i push the clutch in it would slowly stop from making the noise please help
Sounds like, according to your description, the noise is coming from the transmission and not the bearing.
was it really a grinding noise like gears? Are the fingers used up on the pressure plate at all? How loose is the throwout bearing when you turn it by hand? Any parts missing from the clutch and pressure plate?
i already took out the throwout bearing and the teeth on the clutch were not wore because its new just put it in about 600 miles ago and the throwout turns easily but the inside of the throwout moves back and forth but i think thats normal
