Went for a drive, while sitting in the drive through I noticed a coolant smell comming out of the vents, then a little steam comming out from under the hood, I turned the car off and more smoke came out, the car never overheated, just stayed around 180 the whole time. So since I was close to the house, I started it and took it home, temp never changed and the smoke went away. When I got home and shut it off I heard a hissing from behind the intake mani by the fire wall and saw some coolant on top of the trans but did not see an obvious leak(wet coolant line) anywhere. I am going to search some more tommorrow but wanted to see if you guys had some ideas????

If steam was coming from the vents, and under the hood,My guess is the heater core. The fluid under the hood can be coming from the drain tube on the firewall.Leaking from under the hood, like the intake for example, wouldn't cause steam from the vents. That's my guess....heater core.
