Ok just got an 03 Mustang V6... Let me say it's slowwwww.... can't even do a burnout.. But obviously it has potential, just like every car... especially a 3.8 v6.

Anyways, what are some easy mods to start giving the car some horsepower?

    Supercharger? Rockers?

My buddy said I should put a 4.11 gear in the back or something?

    Any help i'd appreciate, thanks!

2000 V6 auto with a bit more torque and very little hp over stock, it'll burnout. I could floor it at a red light and wait a second with the tire spinning. Launch the car at 1000 rpms and tell me the right tire isn't spinning. Exhaust is under $500, gears can get up around $800 with install, chip, and a limited slip differential carrier. With the LS you get better traction so better takeoffs.

How much is not much money??? 200?? 500??? those would be good things to know
as for sites EBAY my boy EBAY bought a listed 1000 dollars in parts alone for my 2...one is a super 6 and it only cost me about 400 N' change but if you got the flow go with rpm-mustangs.com that guy knows his stuff the 6's cam and valve springs are on their way from him shortly.

RPMOutlet.com is very good, they got a 2000 V6, that they're working on themselves...

I think some good things to start with would be, 4.10 gear, CAI (Cold Air Intake), Under Drive Pulley's, and X-Pipe Exhaust with true duals(sound better and give you maybe 20+hp).

    Just my 2 cents...

Gears would be the best bang for your buck. But to keep up with a GT you'll have to spray a 100 shot at the very least. If you want to faster, don't waste your money on modding your 3.8L . Go with a 4.6L, 5.0L, or maybe a 5.7L if you like the Camaro's....

I had a 98 3.8L and I sold it for my GT. WELL worth it :D

3.73 gears from FRPP (Ford Racing Performance Parts)
T-lok from FRPP (spins both tires)
    Cat-back exhaust
    mid pipe (h or x)
    re-tuned ECU (tuner or chip)
    lowering springs
    shocks/struts
K&N drop-in filter (stay away from full CAI kits unless you go with the FIPK from K&N)
Throttle body (www.rpm-mustangs.com they port/polish, etc.)

I beat a 94-98 GT style with my sixer. A 100 shot isn't the only way to beat a 99+ GT.
