Since I know some of you are really into it, I need help finding some songs in general to add to my collection. I'm looking for an older song, not something from the modern guys like BBVD and Brian Setzer. I really like Sing, Sing, Sing so if it sounded like it that'd be good too. Thanks for any help.

If you're looking for individual songs, here's some of the standards:
Stompin' at the Savoy
Flat Foot Floogie
In the Mood
Take the A Train
One O'Clock Jump
Oh Lady Be Good
St. Louis Blues
Song of India
Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy
Tuxedo Junction
Juke Box Saturday Night
American Patrol
Stardust
String of Pearls
Accentuate the Positive
Song of the Volga Boatman
Chattanooga Choo Choo Moonlight Serenade
It Don't Mean a Thing

Some good original swing artists:
Benny Goodman
Arty Shaw
Louis Prima
Harry James
Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey
Gene Krupa
Count Basie
Sammy Kaye
Frank Sinatra
Glenn Miller
Woody Herman
Stan Kenton
Cab Calloway
Ella Fitzgerald
Chick Webb
Charlie Barnet
Lionel Hampton

A good new band that is pretty close to the old style is the Bill Elliot Swing Orchestra. The Swing Kids's soundtrack also has some good arrangements on it (but it also has a lot of orchestral/soundtrack songs)

I've acutally found some pretty good swing cd's (old & new) buy browsing through the used cd section at Hastings.

Some of Louis Armstrong's early stuff has a New Orleans swing feel to it.

I'll have to find my Dixieland set and find some more good songs. And I know you said no BBVD, but their newest album Save My Soul was inspired by New Orleans (you may want to give that one a listen before buying).
