Need help with new BBK intake 94 Stang GT

This is a followup to a previous post I have made regarding a new BBK cold air induction system I installed in my 1994 Mustang GT.

Problem: After intake install my Check engine light is on.

Wondering if anyone knows why I have an extra cord coming from the car that hooks up to the mass air flow system. I have 2 cords one coming from the mass air flow sensor and this other extra connector with no place to connect it too. Is this causing the check engine light to come on? The car seems to run fine but I dont want to drive it until this problem is resolved. I believe I have everything else hooked up correctly. Do I need a new cord or what is a cheap inexpensive way to resolve this issue.

Anyone that can list possible reasons for this check engine light issue or give support regarding this extra cord would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dan
