Need help with the VSS connection

I'm taking out my speedcal and putting the stock connector on the vss back on there's only 2 wires green and gray with red stripe. does the wire orientation matter ?or which color wire on the connector goes towards the front of the car...thanks for the help

According to the instruction sheet, the grey/red is the ground wire (check it to confirm in any case) in the '99 and later models. You want the grey/red wire to mate up with the grey SpeedCal wire.

I am doing the same thing as the poster, i'll keep searching around, but he was asking about an UNINSTALL of the speedcal, not an install..
