Went down to our local Midnight Mayhem, TONS of ricers, wow, lol
My previous best was a 13.3 @ 103 mph. After an Intake swap, AFR 185 heads and ONLY 6-7 PSI of boost. The car pushes 430 rwhp.
    The setting:
75 degree weather: about 11 pm. Las Vegas elevation, 2300 ft above sea level

Had 3 passes and my first pass was red lighted. And my next 2 passes where identical.

Remember these times are on Toyo T1-R's street tires, only 275/30 on 18 in wheels.

    60ft........2.062
    330.........5.593
    1/8.........8.415
    mph........88.93
    1000.......10.818
    1/4.........12.821
    mph........113.59

Im still learning where to shift this bad boy. it definately likes to rev above 6k rpm. It spins alot, even 3rd gear has a alot of spin, so I have to play with the throttle down the track.
Once I fix my boost issue, (belt slip), Im changing over to an 8 rib pulley set up, should be up to 10-11 psi, I will be in the 11's I hope on street tires, then I will put on some ET Streets! Good times though.

What do you guys think of the times? On par what what you guys have seen?

damn, you can tell you have traction problems even at the 1./8 mile, you had a 8.4, mine is 8.5 running a 13.5, but it just flys from there, 113mph is AWESOME, id say thats a 11 second breaker, or very close to it, get some slicks :nice:.

A 331, HCI, and boost... 113 mph is extremely low. You should be well over 120 mph, but then again you said your still learning the car. It makes the power to run the great times, just have to get it down and use it to its potential!

My dads GT40P car with a stock bottem end, stock cam, Cobra intake, and NO boost runs 111-112 on good passes! Nothing that cant get taken care of, but look for way over 120 mph!

I would agree with this if he was at sea level... Not 2300 feet above.

Do you have any suspension mods done to your car? If not, you might start spending some of that money on that, should get those numbers down. Plus when you do go to different tires it will be a big difference.

I know I am still learning this car, but seems like 120 trap is going to be hard to get. Maybe it does have something to do with my elevation. I just pulled out some of my old slips. My 03 Cobra put down 475 rwhp (45 more then my 93) and I actually cut lower 60' times, 1.90 to 1.95 on street tires and I still only managed 12.5's but under 113 traps (112.55 and a 112.96) My best with my 03 was 11.89's and a 11.93, but still, best trap was 117.56 mph.

I have steeda uppers and lower control arms in the rear, they where on the car when I bought it, they are not the adjustable type. The car feels like it doesn't transfer the weight good enough to the rear though. I have a pretty noticeable rake to the car, where the front is atleast 1 to 1.5 inches lower in the front then rear. I guess I should try to fix that a bit.
I dont disconnect the sway bar or anything like that. No weight reducing tricks either. Hell, I run with my sub box in the rear and such, about half a tank of gas.

I have been thinking of lowering the car some in the rear, but I dont want to lower tha car and then get a soft $hitty ride, I dont care if its stiff, the rear tends to rub a bit when I have passengers in the rear seats. but if I lower it, it wont be carriying anyone in the rear.

Hmm even at that elevation 113 seems low. If your happy with it than awesome, but there is definately more there. You'll find it and get the times and mph where they should be.

Yah you definately need at LEAST Drag radials, if you really want to rip a good 60' get yourself some slicks. You won't regret it! BUt at least Drag radials will make a huge difference. I run Nitto's on my Mustnag and BFG Drag radials on my Viper.
