Ok so I have a new 306 short block with an Explorer intake, an E303 cam, 24 lbs injectors, I have removed the smog pump, added an EGR eliminator and block off plate, the car is till stock speed density I was planing on having a custom chip made for it and I thought I would be able to run it to adjust the valves, timing etc. with out any problems or will I have to wait till I get the chip made for it or can I take it to a tuner could they get it running with out a chip? Also what should my fuel pressure be at the regulator?

i run 42psi on my regulator but they may be off a little but its on a daily driver and the car will run enough to adjust the timing and valves it just might not idle to well. I switched mine to maf for easier tuning though
