Ive got a 2000 Mustang GT AC just gave out. Here are the symptoms as I understand them. Two days ago ac seemed normal. Yesterday it started blowing hot air. Today I went to buy freon. Some helpful guy said my pressure was way too high, He drained pressure down to 45-50 range (really guys, I don't know what Im talking about) he just released gas from the freon line like you would air from a tire....and then put in a can of freon. Still blowing hot air. Is it the compressor? is there some cheap way to fix this? I live in Miami, FL. When the car isn't moving the interior goes quickly to over 100 degrees in the car. I exaggerate, but I think the car AC is blowing hot air at about 120 degrees.

Welcome to the site, noticed you joined almost a year ago, & this is your 1st post.
Sorry to hear about your AC issues, which I can't troubleshoot from N.J.
There are some AC troubleshooting videos on line, a no cost option, prior to taking it to a shop................good luck.
