So, I'm thinking about backing out of the port and polish idea and saving the $1500 or so for something else. Here is my plan:
Forged pistons and rods, race bearings, stock 2v crank (99 auto). Instead of doing the whole stage II heads and cams which will cost at least $2400, I'm thinking of doing a nice valve job w/ VT's stage II N/A cams and comp springs, bronze guides, etc.
Has anyone gone this route? Will the valve job w/out ports be worth it? Currently, I think it would be better to spend the $1500 on a higher stall and shift kit or full exhaust, tb and plentum. Any other ideas.
Ooh, and I'll be running a 150 shot. Will non-ported heads run ok w/ the juice?
Thanks.
